Our story began in 1946, when Russ Upton founded Upton’s in
San Francisco. What started as a neighborhood restaurant and catering business soon grew to include cafeteria services for local private schools.
In the 1970s, Jim and Linda King — Russ’s niece and her husband — carried on the family tradition, continuing to serve wholesome, kid-friendly lunches to a larger number of San Francisco private schools.
Today, their son Dennis King continues that legacy with SchoolFoodies, a modern school-lunch delivery service built on
the same values of freshness and reliability — every school day.
